My Goals for 2020

Happy 2020! I think by now most of us know that the best way to ensure you achieve your goals is to write them down.
My goals this year are all related in some way to my website, so it seemed like the perfect place to share them. These 10 goals are things I am hoping to achieve in 2020.

Goal #1: Write 50 blog posts

Last year I was super uninspired and lazy with my site, for a variety of different reasons.
This year I am determined to focus and put in the work.
I am setting myself the goal of writing 50 blog posts in the next 52 weeks, including this 1. That’s basically one post a week, but 2 weeks grace for myself, because life happens.

Goal #2: Start a Youtube channel

Starting a Youtube channel is something I’ve been thinking about for quite awhile. I have decided it’s going to happen this year!
I plan to make videos to coincide with my posts here, so pretty much videos related to budgeting, making money, and saving money.

Goal #3: Reach 1000 subscribers on my Youtube channel.

Following on from goal #2, I want to reach 1000 subscribers on my Youtube channel.
This is one of the requirements to monetise your channel, which will help with one of my other 2020 goals.

Goal #4: Start a Facebook group

I want to build my little community and create a space for discussions around budgeting, making money, and saving money. I think a Facebook group is the best way to do this.
I love receiving and responding to comments but I think a Facebook group will open up the conversation a bit more, so it’s not just me talking at you.

Goal #5: Reach 2000 Facebook likes

This goal (and the next one) is an extension of wanting to build my community.
I am currently sitting on 901 likes and want to grow this to 2000 in 2020. Have you liked my Facebook page? If not, I would love it if you’d pop over and give it a like.

Goal #6: Reach 2000 Instagram followers

As I’m writing this I only have 578 followers on Instagram so this goal seems super crazy but it’s important to aim high right?

Goal #7: Learn about Pinterest.

I know very little about Pinterest, beyond pinning stuff I like for inspiration.
This year I would like to learn how to use it as a way of promoting my website.

Goal #8: Read 12 non-fiction finance based books books

I have always loved reading. Last year I read a total of 53 books, but the majority of these were YA Fiction. In fact, 50 of them were fiction novels.
This year I would like to use my reading time to actually learn things (other than Shadowhunters), so I am setting myself the goal of reading at least 12 non-fiction finance based books. Hopefully it will be a few more but at the very least that’s one book amonth.
If you’re interested in keeping up with what I’m reading you can take a look at my Goodreads.

Goal #9: Write an ebook

As well as reading I have always loved writing. When I was a little girl being an author was one of my big dreams so this year I am going to make it happen.
I have several ideas floating around in my head, it’s time to actually write them.

Goal #10: 20k in 2020

My final BIG goal is that I would like to make $20 000 in 2020. Ultimately this is what my other goals are leading to.
Ideally, I will save the whole lot, but realistically we will see what happens.

So those are my goals for the coming year. What are your goals for 2020? I would love to hear about them in the comments.
