HOW I MADE AND SAVED $175.20 ONLINE IN MARCH 2019 (1)

HOW I MADE AND SAVED $175.20 ONLINE IN MARCH 2019

I have written about how to make money online before but I thought it might be even more helpful to share exactly how much I make and save each month. So for all of March I kept track of what I earned online throughout the month and all up I managed a total of $175.20 using the following sites.

Disclosure: Some of the following links are referral links and I may receive bonuses for sign ups made through links in this post. These are all sites I highly recommend and I won’t put anything on this page that I haven’t personally used.

Cash Rewards – $51.50

I use Cash Rewards when doing any shopping online including my grocery shop each week. This gives a discount or cashback depending on where you shop. To read more about how to reduce your grocery costs click here.

Flybuys – $10

I didn’t accrue many flybuy points this month. I’ve been doing all of our grocery shopping online with Woolworths using Cash Rewards, as they were offering free delivery for 3 months. I did however manage to redeem $10 flybuys Dollars.

Purkle – $13.70

I only signed up for Purkle this month. I managed to complete 6 surveys throughout the month. Most took me around 5 minutes each so that’s not too bad.

Swagbucks – $80

I managed to cash out three times with Swagbucks this month. I opted for 2 $25 Paypal cards and a $10AUD Apple iTunes card which was on sale. As Swabucks pays in American dollars the Paypal cards end up equalling approximately $35 AUD each. To check out my post of how to use Swagbucks click here.

Woolworths Rewards – $20

I was surprised to only receive a $20 bonus from Woolworths Rewards this month because as I said I’ve been doing all of our grocery shopping online with Woolworths using Cash Rewards. I think once our three months of free delivery is finished I might swap back to Coles for a while to see if they bump up their offers.

So that was how I made and saved money in March 2019. Do you make extra money online? I would love to hear how you do in the comments.

For all of March I kept track of how much money I earned online throughout the month and all up I earned a total of $175.20 using the following sites.

HOW TO USE SWAGBUCKS

HOW TO USE SWAGBUCKS

I have written about using Swagbucks to make extra money previously but sometimes it can be difficult to know where to start with these types of thing. In this post I share how to use Swagbucks to get the most out of it.

What is Swagbucks?

Swagbucks is an awesome site that offers rewards for doing simple activities online, some of which you probably already do. In exchange for doing these activities, you receive “points” that are referred to as Swagbucks (SB). You can then exchange these SB for your choice of reward.

How to Sign Up

Signing up to Swagbucks is super easy. Just pop over to the their website and enter your details.

Ways to Earn Swagbucks

There are a number of different ways to earn SB and a lot of them are things you probably do already when online.

  1. Complete the TO DO LIST daily for to do list bonus SB.
  2. Answer the DAILY POLL.
  3. SEARCH – Use the Swagbucks search bar when looking things up online for a random chance to earn SB a few times throughout the day. Don’t search too quickly though, you will get a message to slowdown and you won’t earn any SB through searching again for the day.
  4. WATCH videos from a variety of playlists each day.
  5. DISCOVER offers a number of ways to earn Swagbucks. The Radium offer videos are my favourite.
  6. ANSWER questions and complete surveys.
  7. Keep your eye out for the daily SWAGCODE posted on the Swagbucks Facebook page.
  8. PLAY can earn you up to 10SB per day by playing a number of fun games.
  9. WATCH videos on the Swagbucks apps. Again this is limited to 10SB per day, though there is occasionally the chance for bonus SB.
  10. There are also an ANSWER APPS that offers SB in return for completing surveys.
  11. Install the SWAG BUTTON to be notified of any bonuses and cashbacks available when shopping online.
  12. SWAGIQ is a daily trivia quiz that offers you the chance to win 1000SB on weekdays. To play you need to download the SWAGIQ app.
  13. Meeting your DAILY GOAL for 7 days straight, will earn you a bonus 25SB.. If you reach it for 14 days you receive 100 bonus SB, and 21 days provides 200 SB. If you achieve your daily goal everyday of the month you will receive an extra 300 SB. These bonuses are paid at the start of the following month.
  14. REFER a friend to Swagbucks and receive a bonus 300SB.

Bonus Swagbucks

You can also earn extra SB during different promotions Swagbucks run sporadically.

  1. iSPY Search offers 4 chances to find a Swagbucks code on Twitter on the last Wednesday of the month.
  2. SWAGO is Swagbucks version of Bingo and usually happens once or twice a month.
  3. TEAM CHALLENGES offer bonus SB to all participates who contribute a certain amount of points to their team during the challenge. The amount you receive varies depending on the position of your team.
  4. COLLECTOR BILLS help celebrate certain holidays or special occasions. They are themed bills that are awarded via search wins. If you collect an entire set, you receive a bonus amount of SB.

Cash Out your Swagbucks for Rewards.

Turning your Swagbucks into rewards is super easy. Click on “Redeem your SB” on the Swagbucks homepage and then choose your preferred gift card. My favourite option is the PayPal gift cards because I can spend it anywhere. Once you’ve selected your reward, verify your account and details, and that’s it. Your reward will be on its way. It is that simple.

5 WAYS TO MAKE EXTRA MONEY DOING THINGS YOU ALREADY DO

I have shared a few posts with a number of different ways to save money, but sometimes cutting back just isn’t enough. What do you do when you have reduced your spending all you can and you’re still coming up a bit short? You add a little bit more money to your budget!

Today I am sharing 5 ways to make extra money, that take little, to no effort. None of these will earn you big bucks, but they can help you add a little more to your budget.

Swagbucks

Swagbucks is an awesome site that offers a variety of rewards for doing simple activities online, some of which you probably already do, such as searching the web or online shopping. In exchange for doing these activities, you receive “points” that are referred to as Swagbucks. You can then exchange these Swagbucks for a range of different gift cards. To sign up for Swagbucks click here, and we will both receive a bonus 500 Swagbucks.

Cashrewards

Cashrewards is a great site that allows you to receive cashback on online purchases you make. It’s simple to use, you just sign up, search for the store you’re looking for and then shop online as normal and wait for your cashback to arrive. There are over 1,000 stores including ASOS, eBay, and my favourite, Woolworths. Cashrewards also gives you access to exclusive savings, coupons, offers and discounted eGift cards. To sign up for Cashrewards click here, and we’ll both get a $10 bonus in our Cashrewards accounts.

Shopback

Shopback is another site that allows you to receive cashback on online purchases. Again, it’s super simple to use, just sign up, search the store you are looking for, click the link and make your purchase. Shopback offers both cashback and discounts from shops such as Amazon, Chemist Warehouse and Groupon. To sign up for Shopback click here, we’ll both receive a bonus $5.

Woolworths Rewards

Woolworths Rewards is something I think most people know about, but not everyone cashes in on. It’s simple to use, you just sign up, scan your card every time you shop and then you earn 1 point for every dollar you spend in store and online at Woolworths supermarkets, BWS and Caltex Woolworths fuel outlets. You will also receive exclusive offers, bonus points offers and instant savings. Each time your balance hits 2000 points you will automatically save $10 on your next shop, or you can bank your savings for Christmas. To sign up for Woolworths Rewards click here.

Flybuys

Flybuys is another loyalty program I think most people are familiar with, but again not everyone utilises. It’s similar to Woolworths Rewards, in that all you do is sign up and scan your time when you shop, but instead offers points, exclusive deals, bonuses and savings from a wider range of partners that includes Coles, Kmart and Target. Flybuys also offer a variety of rewards, from flybuy dollars (which can be used for in store purchases), appliances and movie vouchers. To sign up for Flybuys click here.

So there you have 5 ways to make a little extra money that require little to no effort. How do you add extra money to your budget? I’d love to hear in the comments.
